Summer LoVe
Hi! My name is Gail Chantel Spring Q. Perlas, I don't know why my mom gave me such a long name but anyways my friends call me "Cha" or "Spring". I'm 23 and a nurse by profession but a self proclaimed artist by heart and soul. Designing, creating or making some art stuffs is my passion but I never had an interest on planning my future wedding before until Iast year when I start dating this six feet tall, dark but not so handsome guy hahahaha (I love you yam..mwaahH)
..We've known each other since grader and he is always there for me like a brother but never once we thought we could be right for each other until we found each other perfectly together...
He made me realized that a wedding is somewhat a girl or a "bride to be" should be planning to prepare and to look forward for.He told me "A wedding is a sacred ceremony that will officially bind us together for the rest of our lives so I want our wedding to be something special and memorable and it is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I'm gonna marry the love of my life"
So from then on, I started planning for our dream wedding. I was also planning to make a scrapbook like wedding planner but because I'm just recently working now in Saudi, its kind of difficult for me to look for materials here. And I felt so lucky when I found out about this iBride.com because in here I can finally start to organize my plans and saved it online and not just here inside my mind.
We are both 23 years old right now and we are planning to get married when we turn 26 or 27 so we still have ample time to work for the wedding budget and all other stuff.
The thing is, I can honestly say that I'm a type of person which is very particular over details that is why I want our dream wedding to be a little bit perfect, organized, romantic and ofcourse magical but not super sophisticated.
So now, lets get started and I'm so excited!!!!
1.Venue.
We are both Christian Catholic and we want it to be a Church wedding ceremony in our Hometown Parish in Sipalay City.
This is the St. Joseph Parish in San Jose, Sipalay City just 8 to 10 mins ride away from our house. What I like about our hometown church is that it's not that big so I don't have to walk in a long aisle but can still accomodate significant number of people and we are all very closely attached to this church.2. Aisle
I dont like the traditional style of decoration where there are too much flowers and fabrics in the aisle. I like it to be somewhat a combination of lights and organic materials such as twigs and vines.
Just like these photos above but with some lights wrapped arround the twigs. The combination of red, yellow and green colors looks great together too and I love the idea of having some rastafarian colors in our weddingtheme because we both love reggae. As for the aisle, I preferrably want my aisle to be made of flower petals just like the photo below.
3. The Reception
Since we both love the beach and the sea, we are definitely planning to have our wedding during summer season and the reception would be in one of the beautiful beach resorts in our hometown. His house and mine are just a kilometer away from each other but geographically located on each opposite sides of the boundary or border between Sipalay City and Cauayan Municipality. Lucky enough for us because both Sipalay and Cauayan are considered to be the tourists spot of our province because of their beautiful islands and white sand beach resorts such as the Punta Ballo beach resorts and diving centers in Sipalay and the Danjugan Island in Cauayan.
But for our wedding reception, we preferrably want to held it in Punta Bulata White Sand Beach Resort and Spa which is just a 3-4 km away from where we live.
I think this place is perfect for our dream beach wedding reception. This resort has has a breath taking sea view especially during hot season where you can feel the cool breeze of summer and the sky is clear, the sea is so blue and the stars at night are so bright and beautiful.
Furthermore, we both want night life party and so we want our wedding at around 3pm and the reception at late afternoon and so that we can also have enough time to prepare in the morning. I also like to have lights, candles, tiki torch and hanging lanterns in the reception
4. The Table Set-up
It doesn't matter if the table is round, square or rectangular as long as it has a beautiful centerpieces designed with candles, corals, twigs and flowers to perfectly match the aisle decoration and beach wedding reception. The reception area should have an open space as much as possiblefrom and the tables should not be overcrowded with decorations so that everyone can clearly see each other and the things happening around them without struggling from hendrances.
The guests, families and the enthurage will have their designated tables with their name on it. We can buy some keychains souvenirs to use as a table names. This is awesome ,so you took all this time to prepare for a wedding. You must be a really strong woman. I envy your courage. Well, its OK, cos when you talk time to prepare something good, always expect the best. Your man must be a patient one. We ladies, all we want is the best. Cheers my dear. You are wonderful. And your family must have done a lot of job to make this one a successfully planned wedding.
5. The Invitation and Give aways (souvenir)
It's traditinal in the Philippines to provide invitation and give souvenirs to guests who will attend the wedding. So am searching for ideas that are something unique. And I am considering this idea for an invitation letter
Then for the giveaways, I was thinking of something different but still appropriate for the occasion, so I was wondering of making toilitries kit like the one they gave when you check in a hotel or resortd, but to make it more personalized we can put stickers on it.
Yes that is really true. To be married to someone you love so dearly is a once on a life time occasion and it really needs a timely preparation that is why as early as now I'm already planning for it. Maybe I'm just too excited but I can't help it and I love doing all of these stuff, thinking and organizing my wedding ideas is like a stress reliever for me. It makes me feel inspired and alive. And don't be envy by the way, youcan also plan your own dream wedding and make it perfect in your own way and perspective. I Believe that a wedding does not need to be so expensive and sophisticated if you know how to use available resources around you wisely. And about my man, he can wait. Love is patient right? And we also both know we need enough time for the preparation and budget because we dont want our parents to shoulder all the expenses.
